It has over 14 900 beds in 43 hotels (2 to 4 stars), situated at the very beach or at the picturesque hills with exciting views of the sea and the “Balata” National Reserve. Resort Facts

Location – On the northern Black Sea coast, not far from the Romanian border, about 40km from Varna Airport and near the country town of Dobrich.

Excursions – There are lots of excursions available, including the Casino Bar/Variety Bar night-club, a trip to the Dolphinarium at Varna, a trip to a traditional Bulgarian home, by coach to Istanbul, and by air to Cairo and Izmir, All excursions should be booked on the spot through our local representatives.

Nights Out – Arabella’s Bar, The Fisherman’s Hut, The Old Oak, as well as the array of restaurants in the hotels, you must try the folk taverns and restaurants such as “ Slav Corner”, The Bulgarian Loom and the Orehite (“Picnic”) Restaurant in the nearby woods.

Banks – Banks are opened Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 3.00pm. You will need your passport to cash cheques or exchange currency. There are also ATMs at some of the Albena hotels.

Pharmacy – Usually open from 8.00am to 8.00pm. There is also a 24-hour pharmacy.

Shops – Shops in the resort are open every day, including Saturday and Sunday. They are usually open from 9.00am to 9.00pm.
